Common Market consists of RA Scion (MC) and Sabzi (Producer and DJ).

RA Scion was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After living in several
different cities and then living for 2 years in Africa, RA settled in the
Northwest to begin his career in Hiphop. RA Scion emerged as a solo artist in
2003 and released 'Apostrophe the EP' and then 'Live & Learn' in 2004. In the
midst of releasing his debut album, he was told about Sabzi - a member of the
Hiphop community, as well as a member of the same Faith, The Baha'i Faith. Sabzi
DJ'ed at RA's first CD release party, and then contributed 2 songs for the Live
& Learn album.

Sabzi was born and raised in the Northwest. A trained musician, Sabzi grew up
behind the piano, taking Classical Russian Method lessons for 10 years before
embarking on the road to DJ-ing and production. While attending the University
of Washington, Sabzi became involved in a student organization called The
S.H.O.W. In that group he met MC Geologic, and they started a group called The
Blue Scholars. Also hearing about this other Baha'i in the Hiphop scene, Sabzi
met RA - and they started talking about music.
